Main purpose of the position:
We are looking for an experienced and people-oriented Team Lead to head our growing Controlling team in Gdańsk. The team plays a key role in supporting our Danish finance organization and works closely with stakeholders across countries. As Team Lead, you will combine strong financial expertise with leadership, coaching, and day-to-day coordination of the team.
The role is central to our finance set-up and offers the opportunity to help shape a best-practice controller organization in an international environment.
What you will do:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of controllers in Gdańsk
- Ensure high quality, timely and accurate financial reporting and controlling activities
- Coordinate and prioritize tasks within the team and secure smooth collaboration with stakeholders in Denmark
- Act as a sparring partner to senior finance stakeholders on financial insights, analysis and performance follow-up
- Drive continuous improvements, standardization and documentation of controlling processesSupport onboarding and development of new team members
- Contribute to knowledge transfer and task transitions between countries
- Act as an active member of the leadership team, co-creating a strong collaboration culture, driving engagement, and taking shared responsibility for fostering a high-performing and inclusive organization.
Professional skills you possess:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar
- Solid experience within controlling, business finance or financial analysis
- Prior leadership experience – or strong motivation and proven capabilities to take on a leadership role
- Structured, proactive and quality-focused mindset
- Experience from shared service centres or international finance setups is an advantage
Key Personal Qualifications:
- Comfortable working in an international environment with English as working language
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust across cultures and functions
