About our team

Welcome to the Capital Data Production team within the Regulatory Reporting unit, we are a diverse team spanning across multiple countries We add value to Nordea by producing the COREP reports and closing RWA numbers for the bank, and analyzing large datasets bringing our perspective to business events, new regulations, and strategic projects.

What you’ll be doing

You will play a valuable role in delivering on Nordea’s commitments and obligations towards our regulators. You will assist with various types of risk reporting for Nordea Group and its subsidiaries. Capital Reporting team is responsible for controlling, analysing and reporting the capital in Nordea, to enable management and the business areas to focus on decision making and risk management, as well as ensuring that Nordea complies with external and internal regulations.

Main responsibilities in this role: 

  • Ensuring value-adding data quality, production and analysis to internal stakeholders to support business decision making.
  • Performing data queries with purpose of controlling and understanding data when so is required.
  • Be responsible for delivering the REA templates for COREP (Common Reporting Templates).
  • Using your own initiative to propose and drive activities which will enable both Capital Reporting and Regulatory Reporting to deliver on strategic objectives.
  • Liaising with business change managers to deliver change activity across capital reporting.
  • Participating in various projects within the regulatory reporting field. These projects may include, but are not limited to, the implementation of new reporting requirements, the review and enhancement of existing reporting processes and the development of new reporting tools and systems, ensuring quality and efficiency in control, analysis and reporting.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives in your processes and in the unit, including developing new tools and processes in R/Python/SQL/etc.

The role is based in Warsaw. This is a flexible, part-time (20-30h weekly) opportunity. We can offer you a contract for 6 months.

  • Judgement: Displays good judgement, thinks ahead, anticipates questions and prioritises work tasks appropriately.

Your background and skills include: 

  • Student in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or similar
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Experience with Python/R/SQL
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details
  • Ability to work well within a team, as well as independently
  • Experience with capital reporting and regulatory reporting or topics related to Basel III/CRD IV, credit risk would be a strong advantage.
