Mainframe Analyst

About the project, In this role, you will work closely with development, application maintenance, testing, and release teams to support the delivery and maintenance of business-critical systems., You will be responsible for requirements analysis, impact assessment, validation of changes, and support of production incident resolution in a complex enterprise environment.

Your responsibilities, Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements, Perform impact analysis for system changes and enhancements, Validate developer implementations and test results, Prepare and maintain application documentation, Document test outcomes and support quality assurance activities, Support Application Maintenance teams in production incident analysis and resolution, Collaborate with Release Managers during deployment and release activities, Work closely with development, testing, and business teams to ensure successful delivery, Continuously improve knowledge of tools, technologies, and business processes

Strong experience as a Mainframe Analyst or similar role, Deep understanding of mainframe technologies: COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, IMS, Experience in requirements gathering and impact analysis, Experience in application documentation and maintenance, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Experience validating system changes and test results, Experience supporting production incidents and Application Maintenance (AM) teams, Experience collaborating with Release Management processes, Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills, Ability to work independently and proactively

Optional, Experience in banking or financial services, Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments, Knowledge of regulatory or compliance-driven projects, Experience with modernization initiatives involving mainframe systems
