About the project

For our global client in the pharmaceutical industry, we are looking for an experienced Data Engineering Practitioner to join a strategic, enterprise-scale data transformation initiative.

In this role, you will play a key part in designing and delivering modern data platforms that support business-critical processes. You will be responsible for architecting scalable data solutions, driving technical excellence, and contributing to the long-term data strategy within a highly collaborative, international environment.

Your responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement large-scale data engineering solutions and enterprise data architectures.
• Build and optimize scalable data warehouses, data lakes, and advanced ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Ensure the scalability, security, resilience, and performance of critical data platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex data processing and performance challenges across distributed systems.
• Drive technical standards and best practices within the engineering team.
• Mentor and support other engineers, fostering technical excellence across the organization.
• Collaborate with architects, technical leaders, and business stakeholders to define and execute the organization's data strategy.
• Contribute to data governance initiatives and the continuous evolution of the enterprise data ecosystem.

Our requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-scale data platforms.
• Extensive experience with database technologies and ETL/ELT development.
• Strong knowledge of distributed data systems and Big Data technologies.
• Experience designing scalable data warehouses and data lakes.
• Ability to identify and resolve complex performance and scalability issues.
• Strong understanding of data architecture principles and data governance.
• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
