Software Engineer III, Android

Responsibilities

• Create external developer-facing APIs and the underlying infrastructure.
• Measure and monitor the impact of features across the Business Communication ecosystem.
• Fix critical bugs and issues raised by external developers and partners.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, UX, Developer Relations, Business Development, Support, and Engineering leads.
• Deliver critical product and system metrics to understand product behavior and nuances.
• Develop and maintain Android experiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with software programming in C++, Java, Python, or Go.
• Experience with full-stack development.
• Preferred: 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Preferred: experience building and scaling large-scale services.
• Preferred: experience with Android development.
• Preferred: familiarity with API design and development and SDKs.
• Preferred: familiarity with Flume and messaging.
