We are looking for an experienced, business-oriented Chief Financial Officer to join the team and play a key role in shaping the financial strategy, strengthening performance, and building long-term organizational value. This is a unique opportunity for a finance leader who wants to take full ownership of a global finance function and become a strategic partner to the CEO, the Management Board, and the shareholders.

About the organization

An international industrial company with over 100 years of experience in engineering and manufacturing advanced solutions for heavy industries. It operates globally, is developing its entities in the US and India, and is consolidating operations in a modern facility in Gdańsk. The company is owned by a private equity fund, which creates a dynamic environment with a strong focus on growth and strategic transformation.

Scope of the role

As CFO, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of finance, including:

• accounting, controlling, treasury, risk management, reporting,
• management of an international team of approx. 15 people,
• close cooperation with the CEO, the Management Board, shareholders, and business leaders,
• ensuring financial stability, transparency, and scalable processes,
• supporting global operations, investments, and expansion into new markets.

Key responsibilities

• Co-develop the strategy and mid-term plans.
• Independently lead the global finance function and build a high-performing team.
• Oversee financial reporting and compliance with local regulations across multiple countries.
• Work closely with entities in the US and India.
• Take responsibility for financial, project, and operational controlling.
• Manage treasury: liquidity, cash management, banking relationships, financing.
• Develop risk management frameworks.
• Support communication with the Management Board, shareholders, and stakeholders.
• Participate in negotiations with customers, suppliers, and strategic partners.
• Oversee legal and administrative processes.
• Lead the IT function and oversee technology investments.
• Drive the roadmap for digitalization, systems integration, and data architecture.
• Ensure cybersecurity and business continuity.
• Implement AI and automation initiatives.
• Build a data-driven culture and reporting standards.

Requirements

• Higher education in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related fields.
• Preferred qualifications: CFA, ACCA, or similar.
• Experience as a CFO or senior finance executive in an industrial company with international operations.
• Private equity experience will be a strong advantage.
• Proven capability to lead a full finance function.
• Understanding of the engineering and manufacturing business environment.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, decisiveness, ability to operate in a dynamic environment.
• Very good command of English.
