Data Center Technician (DCT) | Warsaw
TechTree's client is hiring a Data Center Technician for a long-term infrastructure programme supporting a major EU agency in Warsaw.
This is a hands-on role for someone experienced in rack & stack, structured cabling, hardware troubleshooting, asset management, and physical data center operations .

- Contract duration: Initial 12 months, extendable up to 48 months
- Estimated compensation: €100,000–€120,000 annually
- Level: Associate
What you'll do
- Install and decommission servers, switches, and other data center equipment
- Perform rack & stack activities and maintain rack layouts
- Manage structured cabling, patching, and labelling
- Troubleshoot physical server and network hardware
- Maintain hardware inventory and asset records
- Receive equipment and manage the hardware lifecycle
- Support maintenance and RMA processes
- Conduct inventory audits and capacity checks
- Prepare and execute infrastructure changes
- Maintain data center documentation and maintenance records
- Coordinate third-party contractors working on-site
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of overall IT experience
- 2+ years in physical data center operations
- Hands-on rack & stack and cabling experience
- Knowledge of server, network, PDU, and data center infrastructure
- Basic LAN, switching, and patching knowledge
- Hardware troubleshooting experience
- Familiarity with asset management, inventory, and change-management processes
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Valid Category B driving licence
- English at B2+ level
- Comfortable working with heavy equipment and in typical data center environments
- Ability to work on-site in Warsaw
- Eligibility and willingness to obtain CONFIDENTIEL UE / EU CONFIDENTIAL security clearance
Nice to have
- Experience managing third-party contractors
- Familiarity with formal change-management processes
- Experience handling hardware maintenance and RMA workflows
