Asset Management Risk Control Intern

Your role

Are you someone who thrives on solving complex risk challenges and wants to shape the future of risk management in a dynamic asset management environment?

We are looking to hire someone who can:

  • review and analyze portfolios from a risk perspective, identifying market, credit, liquidity, and sustainability risks and control gaps across asset classes
  • lead the design and implementation of new risk management processes and reporting frameworks
  • calculate and report risk metrics, and contribute to projects driven by regulatory changes in the fund industry
  • ensure timely preparation of regular and ad hoc risk analysis and reports for key stakeholders to support decision‑making
  • foster upstream and downstream stakeholder management

Your team

You’ll be working in the Asset Management - Management Company Risk Control team, based in Poland. We provide independent second line oversight of investment funds domiciled in Switzerland, Luxembourg and Ireland, with a focus on traditional markets funds. In this role, you’ll help ensure that Management Company risk frameworks, tools and processes are robust and aligned to meet our regulatory and fiduciary responsibilities. As part of the second line of defense, you’ll partner closely with portfolio managers and collaborate with senior risk professionals across Asset Management.

Your expertise

  • a Master's degree in economics, finance or a related field; CFA or FRM preferred
  • experienced in asset management and/or risk management, with solid technology/data know how
  • strong analytical skills and a very good understanding of financial instruments, including derivatives and their risk drivers
  • sound data management skills; experience with SQL, Power Query, MS Excel; familiarity with Power BI and AI‑driven tools is a plus
  • proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • performance oriented and hands on, able to work independently, communicate proactively with stakeholders, manage priorities, and adapt to project based work with remote collaboration
  • equipped with strong quantitative and problem solving skills, and known for clear communication and solid organizational abilities
