Research Area (R&D) Lead - Classical Communication & Compute

Responsibilities: Define and drive a forward-looking research agenda Explore novel architectures and emerging technology paradigms Develop prototypes, experiments, and technology demonstrators Lead technology foresight and strategic assessments Collaborate internationally with academia, startups, and industry leaders Translate research into future network and infrastructure strategies Contribute to intellectual property generation, publications, and thought leadership Requirements: Expertise in multiple areas (g. wireless, photonics, AI/HPC, distributed systems, future internet architecture) Experience in applied research, prototyping, or advanced tech development Ability to bridge research, engineering, and business Strong network in academia/industry Very good command of English (written and spoken) Strong systems-thinking and architectural mindset Excellent communication and stakeholder skills Curiosity, vision, and passion for deep tech Nice to have: Telecommunications, Computer Science, EE, Physics, or similar, PhDis a significant plus
