About the project

Your role

As a Legal Counsel in the UK&I Legal Team, you will provide practical commercial legal support to Capgemini’s UK business, with a focus on IT procurement and supplier-facing technology contracts. You will work with legal, procurement and business stakeholders on software, SaaS/cloud, IT services, subcontracting, outsourcing, professional services, supply arrangements and supplier RFP support. This role is suited to an IT commercial lawyer who enjoys clear risk analysis, pragmatic negotiation and close collaboration with international teams.

Your project

You will join the UK&I Legal Client Operations team. The team supports high-quality commercial legal work across the UK&I business and works closely with colleagues in the UK, Poland and Spain, using templates, playbooks and internal contracting principles to deliver efficient and business-focused legal support.

Your client

Your internal clients will include Capgemini’s UK&I legal, procurement and business teams. You will support supplier-facing matters connected with the daily operation of Capgemini UK and with bid/RFP activity, helping stakeholders manage legal and commercial risk in procurement and technology supply-chain contracting.

Your responsibilities

  • Review, draft and negotiate NDAs, procurement, supplier, technology, partnership, alliance and reseller contracts.
  • Support software, resale, SaaS/cloud, IT services, subcontracting, outsourcing, supply and professional services arrangements.
  • Advise procurement and business stakeholders on supplier terms and legal/commercial risks.
  • Support supplier RFPs, sourcing processes and negotiations with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Prepare contract drafts, mark-ups, amendments and internal review materials.
  • Coordinate approvals and help ensure alignment with templates, playbooks and contracting principles.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing, template updates and process improvements.

Our requirements

  • Strong academic credentials and a Master’s degree in Law.
  • Approx. 2–5 years’ experience as a practising lawyer, either in private practice or in-house.
  • At least 3 years’ regular experience with IT procurement or supplier-facing technology contracts.
  • Good contract drafting, review and legal project coordination skills.
  • Understanding of liability, IP, data protection, compliance and termination issues.
  • Clear professional English and strong stakeholder communication.
  • Practical commercial judgement and confidence to identify and escalate risks.
  • Collaborative, organised and comfortable working across locations/time zones.
