About the project

We are building a cloud-native MES as a SaaS product on Google Cloud. To scale our product, we’re looking for a Fullstack Developer with a clear backend focus. As part of a cross-functional Scrum team, you’ll take ownership of high-quality business functionality while contributing to the backend to deliver seamless end-to-end features.

Your responsibilities

• Take ownership of end-to-end feature development together with the Scrum team - from conception to deployment
• Drive backend-heavy features while still contributing to frontend implementation where needed to deliver complete solutions with the team
• Design, implement, and maintain our backend components using Quarkus, while designing the core processes in BPMN
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making
• Design solutions with scalability, security, and operational aspects in mind
• Work with containerized applications orchestrated by Kubernetes
• Mentor other developers and strengthen engineering practices in the team

Our requirements

• Several years of experience in software development
• Strong expertise in backend development with Java (21+) and frameworks like Quarkus or Spring Boot (preferably Quarkus)
• Solid understanding of backend and cloud architecture principles
• Basic knowledge of frontend development principles (preferably Angular)
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Cloud Platforms
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and agile development methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
• Familiarity with Extreme Programming (XP) practices such as Pair Programming, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Continuous Integration
• Confident English-speaking skills (min. B2)

Optional

• Experience with AI Assistant Tools
• Solid understanding of business process modeling and workflow orchestration using BPMN 2.0 (ideally combined with execution experience on engines like Camunda)
• Communicative knowledge of the German language
