Recruitment for

Our client is an international group headquartered in Poland. We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to take ownership of the finance function and act as a strategic partner to the leadership team, translating financial insight into informed decisions, business growth and operational effectiveness.

Your responsibilities

• Act as a strategic business partner to the leadership team, shaping the Group’s strategy and translating it into financial priorities, actionable business plans and long-term value creation.
• Lead accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and controlling, embedding business best practices and sound HR principles in team leadership, capability development and accountability.
• Own budgeting and forecasting processes, providing forward-looking analysis of financial performance, key variances and their business implications.
• Strengthen controlling and P&L transparency by improving cost allocation methodologies and allocation keys to reflect underlying business drivers and support reliable profitability analysis and efficiency improvements.
• Oversee tax matters, intercompany settlements and transfer pricing policies.
• Oversee the consolidation of financial results across Group entities, ensuring consistent accounting policies, accurate intercompany eliminations and a reliable view of the Group’s consolidated performance.
• Coordinate Group reporting, audits and regulatory obligations across Polish and international entities, ensuring the accuracy, consistency and timeliness of management information.
• Manage liquidity, cash flow and working capital, including receivables and inventory.
• Partner with business units and Group companies to improve the quality and decision-usefulness of management data, align KPIs and translate financial analysis into actionable recommendations.
• Work closely with the owner/investor on financial performance and key business initiatives.

Our requirements

• A university degree in finance, accounting or a related discipline.
• Experience in financial management within an internationally operating organisation.
• At least 10 years of experience in finance management roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, IFRS, taxation and intercompany settlements.
• Hands-on expertise in controlling, financial planning, P&L analysis and financial modelling.
• The ability to turn financial data into insights that support performance management and business efficiency.
• Experience in strategy development and leading organisational change and business development initiatives.
• Confident stakeholder communication, with strong presentation and negotiation skills.
• Fluency in Polish and English; German language skills would be an advantage.
• Willingness to travel on business.

• Experience in manufacturing or technical businesses, particularly organisations backed by a financial investor.
