Accountant RtR/GL with VAT Expertise (m/f)

Eurofins seeks an accountant with VAT expertise for its Record-to-Report department in Katowice. The role involves preparing financial statements, managing general ledger postings, independently handling VAT compliance and returns, and supporting month-end closing processes within a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and periodic reports; post entries to general ledger and maintain fixed asset registers
• Independently prepare, review, and submit VAT returns and corrections per local regulations
• Reconcile general ledger balances with auxiliary journals; consolidate group company transactions
• Support month-end closing activities and coordinate with other departments and external partners
• Create and maintain process documentation; prepare audit-related materials and participate in process improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Practical knowledge of VAT regulations and experience preparing VAT returns and corrections independently
• Experience in finance or BPO/SSC environments preferred
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
• Very good English language skills
• Strong organizational skills, diligence, and reliability
