SAP MES Consultant 

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP Digital Manufacturing Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, support, and continuous development of SAP Digital Manufacturing (SAP DM), helping to digitalize and optimize manufacturing processes across the organization.

You will act as the key link between Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Process Owners, external service providers, and IT, ensuring efficient collaboration and successful implementation of business requirements.

Your Responsibilities

SAP Digital Manufacturing Operations & Support

• Ensure the stable operation and high availability of SAP Digital Manufacturing.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within the production environment.
• Monitor and maintain interfaces between SAP ERP/S/4HANA and SAP Digital Manufacturing.
• Provide technical support to key users and production employees regarding system-related topics.

Process Consulting

• Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify optimization opportunities.
• Implement business requirements from production and logistics within the SAP Digital Manufacturing environment.
• Prepare functional concepts and develop solution proposals.
• Support system rollouts and international implementation projects.

Interfaces & Integration

• Manage integrations between SAP Digital Manufacturing, SAP S/4HANA, MES, shopfloor data collection systems, and other shopfloor solutions.
• Analyze and resolve IDoc, API, and communication-related issues.
• Support the implementation of new integration scenarios and system interfaces.

Projects & Continuous Improvement

• Participate in digitalization initiatives and Industry 4.0 projects.
• Coordinate and collaborate with external service providers and SAP consultants.
• Prepare and execute system tests, maintain documentation, and deliver user training.
• Support system releases, upgrades, and continuous improvement activities.

Your Profile

Professional Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Production Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• Experience working within the SAP ecosystem, ideally with SAP Digital Manufacturing, SAP ME, SAP PP, or SAP MII.
• Knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP Integration Suite (CIS).
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and shopfloor operations.
• Experience with SAP integration technologies, including IDoc, OData, REST services, and APIs, is considered an advantage.
• Programming experience with Java and JavaScript, particularly in integration environments.
• Basic knowledge of ABAP, SQL, or system integration concepts is desirable.
