Senior Finance and Controlling Specialist supports the Research & Development department in financial decision making and ensures transparency, efficiency and compliance across financial processes. This position requires working closely with teams across the organization and having a positive impact on overall business performance.

What will your tasks involve?

• Understand the product development cycle including financial support to product managers for new product business cases. 
• Understand product licensing policies and procedures.
• Support external licensing audits.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS.
• Review and post transactions relevant to the balance sheet and P&L.
• Perform general ledger, subledger, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Support budgeting and forecasting process for R&D. Create detailed budget vs, actuals variance analysis as well as year over year analysis. Identify primary cost drivers.
• Prepare internal and external financial reports.
• Identify and implement process improvements,
• Ensure compliance with internal control systems and financial regulations.

What we expect from you?

• Completed commercial training with further qualification in accounting/controlling or a comparable degree.
• Project management skills a plus.
• Several years for professional experience in the finance department of an international company.
• Confident use of MS Office with advanced knowledge of Excel; experience with JDE a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and high affinity for IT.
• Independent, structured working style and strong team and communication
  skills.
• Excelling English skills with knowledge of German a plus.
