About the project

At Mood Up, we design and develop digital products for international clients. We are currently looking for a strong Mid iOS Developer to join a full-time IoT project involving mobile communication with connected devices.

This role is a strong match for someone who has hands-on experience with Bluetooth Low Energy and understands the challenges of building reliable communication between mobile applications and physical devices.

Your responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining a native iOS application for an IoT product
• Implementing communication between the mobile application and connected devices using Bluetooth Low Energy
• Improving device discovery, pairing, connection stability and data synchronization
• Building new features using Swift and the iOS SDK
• Integrating the application with REST APIs and external services
• Diagnosing issues related to Bluetooth communication, application state and device connectivity
• Participating in technical discussions and architectural decisions
• Writing clean, maintainable and testable code
• Conducting code reviews and supporting other team members
• Collaborating with developers, QA engineers, designers and product stakeholders
• Communicating with an international client and project team in English

Our requirements

• Strong commercial experience in native iOS development
• Very good knowledge of Swift
• Practical experience with Bluetooth Low Energy
• Good knowledge of Core Bluetooth
• Experience with UIKit and/or SwiftUI
• Understanding of asynchronous programming and application lifecycle management
• Experience with REST API integrations
• Knowledge of common architectural patterns such as MVVM
• Ability to debug complex issues involving mobile applications and external devices
• Experience with Git and code review processes
• Ability to write unit tests
• Strong ownership, communication and problem-solving skills
• English proficiency at C1 level
• Availability for full-time cooperation

Optional

• Previous experience in IoT, smart home, security or connected-device projects
• Experience with Swift Concurrency, Combine or reactive programming
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes for iOS applications
• Experience with automated testing
• Understanding of Bluetooth communication limitations across different iOS devices and system versions
• Experience publishing and maintaining applications in the App Store
