Senior Procurement Specialist - Automotive (f/m/x)

Your responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process - from supplier identification to delivery tracking
• Analyze technical documentation, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and prepare procurement tracking lists
• Define prototype part quantities, spare parts requirements, and delivery schedules
• Identify and manage suppliers, including coordination of the NDA signing process
• Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) based on technical and commercial requirements
• Coordinate supplier communication, clarify technical and commercial topics, and analyze received quotations
• Compare supplier offers in terms of cost, lead time, production capabilities, and potential risks
• Support supplier selection, conduct commercial negotiations, and place purchase orders
• Monitor order execution, delivery timelines, and report procurement status
• Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Quality, and Logistics teams to ensure timely project delivery

Our requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Technical, Supply Chain, or Business-related fields (technical background preferred)
• Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience in the automotive industry
• Experience working with technical automotive components, such as engines, transmissions, or cast parts
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships
• Knowledge of strategic sourcing processes and experience in supplier management
• Ability to understand technical documentation and BOM structures
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and strong analytical skills
• Very good English enabling effective written and verbal communication
• Ability to organize work, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in a project-based environment
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a results-oriented approach
