General Ledger Manager

Our customer is the leader in providing modern business solutions. We're looking for a GL & Tax Manager who will lead a team of GL specialists and ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with company's accounting policies (IFRS-based) and local regulations.

Project information:

• Type of project: Accounting
• Type of employment: 2 years-long contract of employment (maternity cover) with the possibility for extension
• Level: Manager
• Salary range: 19 000 - 22 000 PLN gross

Responsibilities:

Supervise team of GL specialists

Prepare and review journal entries with proper supporting documentation

Collaborate with Business Control and other departments to ensure completeness and accuracy of accounting records

Ensure financial reporting aligns with IFRS-based policies and local GAAP requirements

Submit accurate and timely financial data for group reporting

Perform and monitor balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations, addressing root causes of discrepancies

Conduct account analyses to validate journal entries and account balances

Support internal and external audits with required documentation and explanations

Continuously improve accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and quality

Develop and maintain detailed work instructions for GL processes

• University Degree (preferably in accounting/finance or relevant)
• At least 7 years of professional experience in similar area
• Proficiency with ERP systems (.e.g. SAP)
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Ability to set up priorities
• Fluency in English
