Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Purpose

Ensure supplier quality performance by driving effective problem resolution, continuous improvement, and robust supplier development processes. Act as a key interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders to secure high-quality standards and support smooth product launches.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to PR/R Procedure issuance, completion guidelines and requirements for problem cases issued via problem solver, utilize structured problem solving tools and methodologies.
• Apply common supplier quality & development process/tools and systems to drive timely and effective resolution of supplier issues and facilitate continuous improvement.
• Support flawless launch activities within the plant and SDE to SQE part responsibility transition.
• Function as liaison between supply management, engineering, manufacturing and suppliers to resolve quality issues and provide technical support.
• Participate in all applicable plant teams (e.g. change boards, continuous improvement).
• Perform supplier manufacturing capability assessments as appropriate, develop action plan to close gaps.
• Support the supplier change management process.
• Lead annual audits for designated suppliers.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree.
• Min 2 years experience in Automotive Mfg/Supplier Quality position.
• Fluent English.
• Analytical/problem solving/organizational & communication skills.
• Strong supplier and internal relationships and willingness to work diligently to build and sustain Integrity, tenacity and demonstrated ability to address difficult issues and problems.
• Strong facilitation, teaching, and coaching skills.
