About the project

We are seeking a talented and motivated Lead Python Developer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in Python development and be familiar with the Azure environment and related technologies. A solid understanding of event-based design patterns and RAG architecture is essential.

Cutting-Edge Tech: You will design and build advanced Agentic AI solutions and dynamic document processing workflows using modern technologies like Python and LangChain.

High-Profile Domain: Working on a critical compliance project for a major financial institution that provides invaluable, prestigious experience in the highly secure investment banking sector.

Elite Collaboration: You will collaborate closely with top-tier talent from the EPAM AI Innovation Hub and FirstDerivative, offering an exceptional environment for professional growth and mentorship.

Greenfield Innovation: Since the project is in its early stages, you have a rare opportunity to shape the core architecture and drive critical design decisions from the ground up.

Complex Engineering Challenges: The project offers diverse learning opportunities by tackling complex technical tasks, ranging from automated document extraction (IDP) to real-time risk screening across news and social media.

Please note that working from the office in Krakow 3 days per week is required.

Your responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python applications that meet business requirements and technical specifications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop and implement software solutions
• Utilize Azure services and technologies to build scalable and efficient applications
• Implement event-based design patterns to enhance application functionality and performance
• Apply RAG architecture principles within application solutions
• Troubleshoot, debug and optimize code to ensure high performance and reliability
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies and best practices in Python development and cloud computing

Our requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in Python development
• 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure or other cloud technologies (AWS or GCP)
• Experience with Vector Databases
• Understanding of event-based design patterns
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Optional

• Background in the financial services industry
• Certification in Azure or related cloud technologies
• Familiarity with Computer Vision, Intelligent Document Processing and Natural Language Processing
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
• Expertise in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture principles
