About the project, We are looking for a Data Engineer to support two strategic data-driven initiatives within the Lufthansa Group ecosystem. If you enjoy working with large-scale data platforms, modern cloud technologies, and solving real business challenges, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to systems that support critical operational decision, , , Operations Decision Support Suite (OPSD), , OPSD is a holistic platform designed to support operational controllers in managing complex aviation environments and making proactive, data-driven decisions., , The solution integrates data from multiple operational domains, including:, , -Airports, , -Air Traffic Control, , -Weather services, , -Aircraft operations, , -Crew management, , The platform helps transform operational steering from reactive actions into proactive, data-driven decision-making., , OPS Data Delivery Team (OPS DDT), , OPS DDT is responsible for an enterprise data warehouse environment that collects, processes and delivers data across the Lufthansa Group, covering the following areas: Lufthansa Group fleet,, aircraft maintenance, flight operations, passenger transportation, baggage transportation

Your responsibilities, Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python, SQL and PySpark., Develop data ingestion and transformation processes., Work with cloud-based data platforms and Databricks., Integrate data from multiple operational systems., Build data products that support aviation operations and decision-making., Work with APIs and data exchange services., Collaborate with data providers, engineers and business stakeholders., Contribute to CI/CD and automation., Participate in production support as part of the team.

2+ years of experience in Data Engineering., Strong Python and SQL skills., Hands-on experience building ETL/ELT/data pipelines., Experience with PySpark., Experience with at least one cloud platform (Azure or GCP)., Experience working with Databricks or another modern data processing platform., Understanding of data integration, processing and storage., Fluency in English, both spoken and written (B2/C1)., Readiness to work in a hybrid model - 2 days in the office in Gdańsk.
