Senior Software Engineer - ML & Data Platforms (m/f/d)

Currently, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer – ML & Data Platforms to design and build production-grade data and ML solutions for entity and profile matching.

This is a senior hands-on role combining Python development, large-scale data processing, machine learning, and cloud architecture. You will work on systems that connect data from multiple sources, identify relationships between entities, and expose results through reliable services and APIs.

You will influence architecture, data-processing strategies, model implementation, production reliability, and technical direction.

This Role Is a Strong Fit If You Have

• strong commercial experience with Python;
• experience building production ETL and data-processing pipelines;
• hands-on experience with Apache Spark or PySpark;
• solid knowledge of machine learning and data science fundamentals;
• experience with entity resolution, identity or profile matching, record linkage, recommendation, or graph-based algorithms;
• experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or similar analytical platforms;
• experience designing microservices and REST APIs;
• understanding of data quality, feature engineering, model evaluation, and production monitoring;
• practical experience with Azure;
• ability to design scalable, reliable, and maintainable data and ML systems;
• experience using AI-assisted development tools while remaining responsible for code quality, security, testing, and correctness;
• interest in MCP, agentic AI, or AI-powered workflows.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, or a similar role;
• strong production experience with Python;
• practical experience with Apache Spark or PySpark;
• experience building ETL pipelines for ingestion, transformation, validation, enrichment, and delivery;
• experience with ML models or algorithms for entity, identity, or profile matching;
• good understanding of statistics, feature engineering, model evaluation, and data preparation;
• experience with Snowflake and Databricks or equivalent platforms;
• experience designing and developing microservices and REST APIs;
• practical experience with Azure;
• knowledge of SQL, data modelling, distributed processing, and large datasets;
• experience with automated testing, CI/CD, version control, and code review;
• ability to make architecture decisions and explain technical trade-offs clearly;
• fluent English.

Technology Expectations

Practical experience with several of the following:

• Python and modern data or backend frameworks;

• Snowflake, Databricks, Delta Lake, or equivalent platforms;
• ETL/ELT, batch processing, ingestion, transformation, and enrichment;
• entity resolution, record linkage, profile matching, graph algorithms, or similarity-based matching;
• machine learning, feature engineering, training, validation, and evaluation;
• SQL, data modelling, data quality, schema evolution, and pipeline monitoring;
• microservices, REST APIs, authentication, and system integrations;
• Azure cloud services and production environments;
• Docker, CI/CD, and cloud deployment;
• MCP, agentic AI, AI agents, tool integration, or workflow orchestration;
• AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent.

Experience with MCP, agentic AI, or modern LLM frameworks is welcome, but it does not replace strong Python, data engineering, and machine learning fundamentals.
