Are you a strategic technology procurement leader who can go beyond sourcing and negotiations to drive enterprise-wide value creation? We are looking for a Senior Manager - Technology Procurement to lead TMF Group's technology value optimisation agenda and maximise the return on our global technology investments.
This is a high-impact leadership role where you will act as the commercial steward for TMF's technology spend portfolio, partnering closely with Technology, Finance, and Procurement leadership. You will assess technology expenditure across software, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data and analytics, and technology services, identifying opportunities to optimise costs, improve commercial performance, and support long-term business objectives.
Working within a transforming procurement function, you will develop and deliver a multi-year technology value creation roadmap focused on cost reduction, supplier optimisation, licence rationalisation, and disciplined investment management.
This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technology category expertise with strong commercial acumen, transformation leadership experience, and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders across a complex global organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a multi-year technology value creation roadmap focused on sustainable cost optimisation, supplier consolidation, and commercial excellence.
- Analyse TMF's technology spend landscape to identify and prioritise savings opportunities, cost avoidance initiatives, and value creation programmes.
- Act as the commercial steward for all technology expenditure, ensuring spend remains necessary, commercially competitive, and aligned with organisational priorities.
- Build and implement category strategies across cloud, software, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data and analytics, and technology services.
- Challenge technology demand, solution design, licensing approaches, and consumption models to eliminate waste and maximise value.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including complex RFPs and RFQs, to deliver optimal commercial and business outcomes.
- Drive supplier rationalisation, consolidation, and performance improvement initiatives across the technology supplier ecosystem.
- Negotiate complex technology agreements, including SaaS, cloud, managed services, infrastructure, and enterprise licensing contracts.
- Partner with Technology and Finance leadership to evaluate investment proposals, renewal strategies, and technology business cases.
- Monitor technology spend, contractual commitments, renewal pipelines, and supplier performance to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
- Influence senior stakeholders, providing constructive challenge and commercial insight to improve technology decision-making.
- Support procurement transformation initiatives and contribute to a culture of commercial discipline and value creation across the organisation.
Key Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Technology Procurement, Technology Sourcing, Category Management, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience managing technology categories within a multinational or complex organisational environment.
- Deep knowledge of technology spend areas, including:
- Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- SaaS solutions and software licensing models
- Enterprise software
- IT infrastructure
- Cybersecurity solutions
- Data and analytics platforms
- Technology services and outsourcing
- Proven track record of delivering measurable savings, cost avoidance, licence optimisation, supplier consolidation, and value creation outcomes.
- Experience leading large-scale technology cost optimisation, procurement transformation, or enterprise transformation programmes.
- Expertise in negotiating complex commercial agreements, including cloud, SaaS, infrastructure, managed services, professional services, and enterprise licensing contracts.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to evaluate ROI, business cases, and technology investment decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and challenge executive stakeholders, including CIOs, Technology Directors, Finance leaders, and senior business executives.
- Experience developing category strategies and managing global technology supplier portfolios.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and change management skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Experience within financial services, professional services, shared services, or other technology-intensive global organisations would be preferred
- Experience in private equity-backed businesses, value creation offices, or enterprise-wide transformation programmes.
- Technology consulting experience and/or a strong technology vendor ecosystem network.
- Experience leading complex RFP/RFQ processes and strategic sourcing programmes.
