German Language Expert (AI Training) – Remote

Location: Fully Remote Employment Type: Freelance / Contract Salary: $30 – $65/hour

About the Role

We are looking for native German speakers to contribute to the development of next-generation AI language models. In this role, you'll use your language expertise to help improve speech recognition, pronunciation, and natural language understanding by creating and reviewing high-quality linguistic data.

Previous experience in AI is not required . Your fluency in German and understanding of the language are the key qualifications for this opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Record clear, high-quality audio samples in German for AI training projects.
• Annotate and review speech and language data with a high level of linguistic accuracy.
• Evaluate AI-generated audio and text outputs, providing detailed feedback to improve model performance.
• Apply your knowledge of German pronunciation, phonetics, and regional language variations.
• Follow project guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across all submissions.
• Collaborate remotely with project teams and document completed work accurately.
• Meet project milestones while maintaining high-quality standards.

Requirements

• Native-level fluency in German .
• Excellent understanding of German pronunciation, phonetics, grammar, and regional accents.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to linguistic accuracy.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Comfortable using digital tools for recording, annotation, and collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in transcription, speech annotation, or language data collection.
• Background in linguistics, translation, language teaching, or communications.
• Experience in voice acting, podcasting, audio recording, or audio production is an advantage.
• Familiarity with AI annotation platforms or speech recognition projects is considered a plus.
• Previous experience evaluating language or audio quality is beneficial.
