GL Accountant - Kraków

For our international client, we are looking for an experienced Accountant to support the Polish entity during a transitional period. This is an interim role focused on maintaining daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting statutory requirements, and assisting with audit activities. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records for the Polish plant and SSC branch in accordance with IFRS and Polish GAAP.

• Prepare and submit monthly reporting packages in line with group reporting deadlines.

• Review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions to ensure correct accounting treatment.

• Prepare and file monthly tax declarations and other statutory reports.

• Support external audit activities and ongoing audit requirements.

• Allocate incoming customer payments and reconcile bank transactions.

• Maintain and reconcile intercompany balances.

• Ensure compliance with internal policies and local accounting regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting, preferably within an international environment.

• Strong knowledge of Polish accounting regulations and Polish GAAP.

• Hands-on experience with IFRS reporting.

• Experience preparing statutory and management reports.

• Previous involvement in external audits.

• Good understanding of AP, AR and General Ledger processes.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Communicative English enabling collaboration with international stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a manufacturing or shared services environment.

• Exposure to group reporting processes.

• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP.
