Your responsibilities
- Act as a senior IFRS technical advisor for the Pepco Segment, providing expert, business‑oriented guidance on complex accounting matters affecting strategic decisions, investments, M&A projects, and operational structures
- Prepare high‑quality technical accounting papers, including impact assessments, recommended accounting treatments, and benchmarking for judgmental and complex IFRS areas
- Monitor new and upcoming IFRS standards, amendments, and interpretations; assess their impact and support end‑to‑end implementation across the Group
- Translate technical IFRS topics into executive‑ready insights and presentations for senior stakeholders, including the Executive Committee and auditors
- Provide ongoing technical support during monthly and quarterly closings, including review of consolidation outputs and resolution of IFRS‑related issues
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation and participating in technical discussions with auditors
- Develop, update, and modernize Group Accounting Policies, the Accounting Manual, and internal IFRS guidance
- Deliver IFRS training sessions and knowledge sharing for finance teams across markets to ensure consistent application of standards
- Drive continuous improvements in accounting processes, controls, and documentation quality
Our requirements
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; ACCA or Polish statutory auditor (PIBR) qualification is an advantage
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in technical accounting, audit, or a similar IFRS‑focused role
- Strong, hands‑on knowledge of IFRS, particularly in areas such as consolidation, impairment, provisions, capitalization, and complex estimates
- Proven ability to prepare and defend technical accounting papers and accounting judgments
- Practical experience in implementing new or amended IFRS standards within a group environment
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to clearly explain complex topics to non‑technical stakeholders
- Very strong communication and presentation skills in English (C1 level or above), with confidence presenting to senior management
- Solid understanding of audit processes and documentation requirements
- Experience with consolidation systems (e.g. Jedox, Hyperion) and advanced Excel skills
- Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with a continuous improvement focus and the ability to work effectively in an international environment
