Your responsibilities

Join our motivated and forward-thinking team and support us in the global procurement of components for CO² reduction in engines and turbochargers. As a Strategic Purchaser for Forging / Casting / Machining, your role is to identify and onboard the world’s best suppliers and secure the global supply chain using our category strategy.

We can offer you the following tasks

▪️Responsibility for multiple, possibly internationally oriented purchasing groups

▪️Implementation of the agreed procurement strategy for the assigned purchasing groups and support in the development of corresponding supplier and sourcing strategies

▪️Contact person for the supplier, preparation and conduct of negotiations, if necessary in coordination with the coordinator/team leader

▪️Exchange and collaboration with colleagues from the Everllence ES interface departments and product lines

▪️Implementation of benchmark analyses (global sourcing activities) and processing of the entire sourcing process for new parts volumes

▪️Analysis of the global procurement market with the involvement of the International Purchasing Offices and participation in the definition of the supplier portfolio for the assigned purchasing groups

▪️Review and implementation of leverage approaches to reduce component costs

▪️Maintenance of the Everllence ES system landscape with the procurement-relevant content

Our requirements

• Completed degree in industrial engineering, business administration with additional technical training, or in mechanical engineering with additional business training, or a relevant vocational training with additional qualifications
• Professional experience in purchasing, preferably in the mechanical engineering or automotive industry (3-5 years)
• Comprehensive knowledge of effective purchasing tools
• Negotiation experience
• Technical understanding and analytical skills
• Fluent written and spoken English; German is an advantage
• Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP

Where we need you

Your office will be located in Poznan. As a Strategic Purchaser you will mainly be in the office and visiting our headquarter and suppliers only from time to time depending on your work schedule.

We are currently a team that handles the tactical and strategic purchasing activities for the forged, cast and machined components for our 4-stroke engines. Our team is responsible for supplying the global production sites for 4-stroke engines and ensures that our aftersales customers are supplied with the right components by our PrimeServ. We are part of the larger and diverse purchasing organization and product line Engine, which is responsible for the global production of large diesel engines.
