MCIP Lead Coordinator, Europe

The MCIP (Material Cost Improvement Process) Lead Coordinator Europe will play a critical role in reducing material costs at Aptiv. This position requires a hands‑on leader who is skilled in cross‑functional collaboration, data‑driven decision‑making, and process optimization to drive cost efficiencies without compromising quality or performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost management within the automotive industry, particularly with experience in materials, engineering, and supply chain functions.
In your daily job you will:
- Lead the development and execution of the MCIP for Europe and meet annual cost reduction targets.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Finance, to identify cost‑reduction opportunities and implement solutions.
- Calculate and estimate all savings, from Pipeline 2 to Booked, for all European projects.
- Report all metrics related to EU Design MCIP initiatives on a weekly and monthly basis to leadership.
- Prepare monthly financial forecasts.
- Organize and conduct MCIP workshops, consolidating current plans and identifying new opportunities for upcoming years.
- Update the ECIP database with the latest financials and keep it up‑to‑date with all projects.
- Monitor industry trends, supplier capabilities, and competitor benchmarking for cost efficiency opportunities.
- Report on MCIP performance metrics, presenting results, insights, and future plans to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in cost management, procurement, or related roles within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record in implementing cost reduction initiatives and process improvements.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with senior leadership.
- Knowledge of the automotive industry’s materials and manufacturing processes.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of electronics or mechanical design.
