RF RAN mobile radio networks Engineer
Infotree Global Solutions
A team of RF network planners who provide support to the regional system engineering teams throughout EMEA. The support includes
a) pre-sale planning (including proposal development)
b) post-sale implementation (including coverage and frequency planning, RF site configuration, coverage verification – drive tests)
c) radio network optimisation or troubleshooting (including performance analysis, parameter settings, drive test analysis, physical or parameter modifications on site/system level)
• RF site search and candidate selection,
• RF site design as input for implementation team (including design for sites co-located with other radio operators)
• Reviewing technical documentation (RF site technical design drawings and Site Survey Reports) against planned configuration
• Analysing drive test data for optimisation and coverage acceptance, and producing reports. Specific Knowledge and Skills:
Suitable candidates will have 3+ years of experience in planning mobile radio networks (either commercial mobile phone networks or private LMR networks). Ideally, candidates will also have experience of hands-on implementation of such networks (e.g. site RF design, installation, and commissioning). Successful candidates are likely to hold a BSc or higher Degree in a Telecommunications related subject. The following skills are considered essential:
• A track record of successfully planning Radio Access Networks (RANs) for large mobile communications networks
• Proficient with radio network planning software application (HTZ, ICS Telecom).
• Experience in collecting and analysing drive test data and creating reports
• Fluent in spoken and written Polish and English
• Good communication skills and confidence to present solutions to the project team and/or customers
• Good understanding of mobile radio technologies (3GPP 2G/3G/4G and/or ETSI TETRA)
• Experience in TETRA radio network planning and implementation
• Hands-on experience of RAN implementation (e.g., site surveys, site RF design, including co-located installations, installation, and commissioning)
• Proficient with GIS tools such as QGIS, Global Mapper, or MapInfo
• Experience in transmission network planning, including microwave link planning, including the use of PathLoss
• Experience of radio planning in a pre-sales environment (e.g., proposal response, customer presentations, etc.)
