With over a century of heritage, Baker Hughes partners with customers in oil and gas, industrial sectors, and emerging energy markets to accelerate progress toward a more sustainable energy future Fuel your passion The Systems and Instrumentation Team Leader is responsible for leading and coordinating the E ngineering team in charge of systems and the electrical/instrumentation discipline of the auxiliaries for all the UPG and NU solutions , either for requisition projects or new product development programs (NPD) . You will supervise quality and timeliness of design e ngineering activities and deliverables . You will follow all design phases of a project starting from the conceptual definition, up to the engineering evaluations and technical specifications for main auxiliary systems. Team Leader accountable for all P rojects / Programs milestones , based on customers' satisfaction, testing goals accomplishment, cost-out strategies implementation and site installation/service support , ensuring the balance between design flexibility needs and standard configuration adoption. As a Systems and Instrumentation Team Leader, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and developing a team of Design Engineers within the Systems and Instrumentation discipline, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality technical documentation aligned with project, manufacturing, procurement, and site requirements.
- Providing technical leadership to ensure full compliance of auxiliary systems design with customer specifications, internal standards, and regulatory requirements, across all project phases from conceptual design to final validation.
- Driving engineering excellence by managing KPIs, fostering continuous improvement, and enhancing team capabilities in analyzing steady-state and transient behavior of auxiliary systems through advanced simulation tools.
- Owning project and program milestones, ensuring successful delivery aligned with customer satisfaction, testing objectives, cost optimization strategies, and installation/service support requirements.
- Leading cross-functional collaboration and maintaining strong interfaces with Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, Global Service, and Engineering teams to ensure seamless data flow and execution.
- Supporting configuration management while balancing design flexibility with standardization, and contributing to product and program development strategies in collaboration with Project Engineering and NPD Systems teams.
- Acting as a key escalation point by supporting supply chain and site teams in resolving non-conformities and complex technical issues, ensuring efficient and effective problem resolution.
- Promoting a high-performance and innovative culture by encouraging idea generation, influencing stakeholders across the organization, and ensuring adherence to company policies, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Master's degree in Engineering with strong knowledge of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and mechanical systems
- Have experience in turbomachinery or complex engineering project environments, with proven ability to solve technical challenges related to machines and auxiliary systems
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills with experience managing global teams in a complex matrix organization
- Have excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and effectively engage stakeholders at all levels
- Show strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a structured approach to managing technical and organizational challenges
- Be able to drive team performance, motivate others, and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture
- Demonstrate the ability to promote change, encourage continuous improvement, and support innovation across engineering processes and solutions
- Be fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills

The initial pay range for this position will be PLN 208,000 To 286,000. There are no provisions of any collective agreement relating to pay which will be applied to this position.
