Test Automation Engineer

What we expect from you

Essential:

• Professional experience as a Test Automation Engineer or Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)
• Strong experience designing, developing and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks, with a solid understanding of multi-layered test automation architectures
• Strong programming skills in Java/JavaScript/TypeScript/Python
• Hands-on experience with Playwright , Cypress , Selenium WebDriver or similar UI automation frameworks
• Strong experience with JUnit 5 , TestNG , Maven/Gradle
• Experience with API testing using Rest Assured , Postman or similar tools
• Experience working with Spring Boot applications and REST APIs
• Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, protocols and microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
• Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with performance and load testing using JMeter , Gatling or similar tools
• Good understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies and Quality Engineering principles
• Experience working with Jira and Confluence
• Strong problem-solving skills with a quality-first mindset
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
• Very good English communication skills
• EU residency

Nice to have:

• Experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
• SQL and database testing experience
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging platforms
• Experience with contract testing (Pact, Spring Cloud Contract)
• Experience with security testing (OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite)
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot or similar AI development tools
• ISTQB certification
• German language skills
