Your responsibilities

• Taking overall responsibility for production and logistics and leading the operational supervisors
• Improving how production and logistics are organised and managed to increase efficiency and support future growth
• Ensuring Florapack operates within agreed budgets by monitoring financial results, labour costs, productivity and KPIs and taking action when needed
• Managing capacity and workforce requirements and ensuring planning matches expected volumes
• Ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, health & safety requirements and internal procedures
• Identifying maintenance and investment needs and preparing investment proposals supported by a clear business case
• Working closely with Van Dijk Flora and other stakeholders in Poland and the Netherlands

Our requirements

• Several years of leadership experience in a production, logistics or similar operational environment
• A hands-on and decisive leadership style: you stay close to the day-to-day activities, set clear expectations and address issues when needed
• Experience bringing structure to an operation and improving efficiency
• Strong financial awareness and the ability to understand, explain and present financial results, budgets, KPIs and return on investment
• The ability to look beyond day-to-day activities and anticipate future capacity and workforce requirements
• Good communication skills in English. Dutch language skills are a strong advantage

Van Dijk Flora, part of Dutch Flower Group, is an international company supplying fresh flowers and plants to retail customers across Europe.

At our location near Kargowa (Lubuskie region), Florapack supports our production and logistics activities. Florapack is entering its next phase of development. We are looking for a Site Manager with a clear focus on structure, efficiency, cost control and future growth.

You work closely with the supervisors responsible for production and logistics and stay close to the day-to-day activities, while keeping an overview of performance and the further development of Florapack.
