Business Analyst / Junior Associate – Pricing Strategy
About us
We are Valueships, a consulting firm helping technology companies grow revenue and profitability through pricing, packaging and monetization. We work with AI companies, SaaS and subscription businesses, and custom software development firms.
We are building a consultancy that combines talented people, broad business knowledge and deep pricing expertise with the full potential of AI. We invest in our people so they can tackle more ambitious problems and deliver useful results faster.
We are an alternative to slow, process-heavy consulting. We focus on decisions clients can act on, implementation and business results. We roll up our sleeves, work through messy realities and take responsibility for what we deliver.
AI is central to how we work. Practical fluency with it, curiosity and sound judgment are essential to joining us.
Why choose Valueships?
Work at the forefront of AI in consulting. We actively explore new capabilities and move quickly to integrate useful tools, agents and automation into our processes and daily work. We commit a substantial budget to AI tools and our team members’ development in this area.
Build a powerful combination of skills. Learn pricing and monetization from experienced consultants while developing analytical depth, consulting craft and your ability to solve business problems through human–AI collaboration.
Help shape how consulting gets done. Question established approaches, test better ones and build workflows, tools and methods that improve delivery across the company.
Stay close to real client impact. Contribute to decisions and implementation, and see how your work creates value.
Do ambitious work with support. Work in a collaborative team with access to Partners and Leadership for problem-solving, flexible hours and respect for your life outside work.
What you will do
As a Business Analyst / Junior Associate, you will support pricing and monetization projects alongside experienced consultants. You will:
Research markets, competitors and customer needs using AI alongside source material and your own analysis.
Analyze data, investigate pricing opportunities and turn findings into clear recommendations.
Help develop pricing models, packaging options and materials that support client decisions and implementation.
Design and improve workflows that combine AI capabilities with human expertise, checking results at each important step.
Share useful methods with colleagues and help build reusable tools and knowledge.
Some tasks will begin with an incomplete brief or an unfamiliar, complex problem. Clarify the goal, break it down, test a first approach and ask for support where needed. AI helps you make progress; domain knowledge and judgment help you evaluate it.
Requirements
Practical AI fluency is a must. You confidently use at least one mainstream multimodal AI assistant, such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. You can provide context, work with text, files and visual inputs, refine instructions and check the output. Be ready to discuss a real example from work, university or a personal project.
A positive, proactive attitude to AI. You see AI as a way to expand your capabilities and increase the quality and value of your work. You are curious about new uses, willing to experiment and motivated to keep learning.
Strong reasoning and analytical curiosity. You enjoy working through problems, questioning assumptions and making sense of numbers. You are comfortable working with spreadsheets.
A genuine interest in pricing and monetization. We can teach you pricing from scratch. Existing knowledge or experience is a valuable asset.
An early-career profile. Around 0–2 years of relevant experience is welcome. Consulting, business analysis, market research, university and personal projects can all demonstrate your potential.
English at B2/C1 level , sufficient to discuss analyses, write clearly and collaborate with clients and colleagues.
Willingness to travel occasionally when a project calls for it. Day to day, we work remotely.
Experience with Python, automation or consulting frameworks is a plus. Bring a willingness to learn tools for collaboration and shared workflows, including GitHub for versioning, reviewing and improving code and other project materials developed with AI.
Core skills
Problem-solving and critical thinking. Clarify the problem, challenge assumptions, form hypotheses and identify the evidence needed to reach a useful conclusion. Make a structured first attempt when the brief is incomplete, and recognize when you need more information or help.
Designing human–AI workflows. Break tasks into manageable steps, define what a good result looks like and decide how people and AI should contribute. Build in iteration and review, and improve the process as you learn.
Evaluating AI outputs and exercising judgment. Check sources, calculations, reasoning and relevance. Identify unsupported claims, missing context and uncertainty. Assess where AI is useful and where human expertise, verification or a decision is needed. Take responsibility for any output you use.
Analytical and business reasoning. Connect data to the client’s business question. Use spreadsheets and, as your skills develop, code to investigate problems. Build your understanding of pricing, customer value and commercial trade-offs, supported by approaches such as hypothesis-driven analysis and structured communication.
Ownership and execution. Deliver reliable work, prioritize what creates client value and communicate progress and risks early. Keep quality high while finding ways to reduce unnecessary effort and time to results.
Communication and collaboration. Explain findings and limitations clearly, listen carefully and ask useful questions. Give and receive candid feedback, share what you learn and make your work easy for others to review and build on.
How we work together
We practice extreme ownership and put the client’s best interests first. We value candid feedback, continuous learning and the humility to change our minds. Psychological safety means being able to ask questions, challenge ideas and flag mistakes early.
We expect initiative, a willingness to get involved and responsible handling of client information. Experienced colleagues will help you develop your judgment as you take on more responsibility.
What we offer
Salary: PLN 5,500–8,500 gross, depending on experience, on a mandate contract or B2B basis.
A commission plan recognizing the value you contribute to client relationships.
The opportunity to grow into a Partner role and own part of Valueships.
Primarily remote work, with optional office days at our headquarters in Wrocław.
Investment in AI tools and your development, including financial support for relevant courses or postgraduate studies.
Opportunities to attend and speak at industry conferences aligned with your interests.
2–3 days of on-site onboarding, with costs covered by Valueships.
Average working time of 7 hours a day and a flexible schedule.
Access to Partners and Leadership for problem-solving and learning.
Team off-sites twice a year.
Ready to join?
We are looking for 1–2 new team members. If you want to build deep pricing expertise, use AI ambitiously and help clients make real progress, we would like to meet you.
You can apply even if you are still developing some of the skills above. Practical AI fluency, curiosity and a willingness to think critically are essential. We will help you develop your pricing knowledge and consulting skills.
Recruitment process
The process usually takes 2–3 weeks:
Screening call. We discuss your experience, motivation and examples of how you use AI. You can ask questions about the role and Valueships.
Practical recruitment task. Complete a short business problem relevant to our work. AI use is expected. Show your approach, what you checked and where you used your own judgment.
Case and workflow discussion. Walk us through your reasoning, explain your conclusions and respond to a new question or constraint. We assess how you think, evaluate evidence and improve an answer.
Final conversation. Meet an experienced team member and explore whether working together is a good fit for both sides.
