Senior Java Developer/ Tech Lead (M/K)

For our international client we are looking for Senior Java/ Tech Lead (M/K) based in Warsaw or Gdańsk or Gdynia.

What the role involves:

• Serving as a Senior Java Engineer (specializing in Apache Kafka)
• Acting as the technical lead for a scrum team of developers and data engineers
• Shaping solution architecture and ensuring strong application design and maintainability
• Creating, implementing and optimizing near real‑time data pipelines
• Working closely with product owners and stakeholders to refine requirements and reporting expectations
• Helping to modernize and migrate existing solutions to a contemporary technology stack
• Collaborating with fellow engineers and maintaining clear, thorough documentation of designs and solutions

Your skills and experience:

• Advanced expertise in Java (including Spring/ Spring Boot)
• Strong experience building Kafka producers and consumers
• Excellent SQL knowledge
• Background in developing distributed, highly available, high‑throughput systems
• Practical experience with domain‑driven design, event‑sourcing, microservices and clean‑code principles
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Docker and Kubernetes
• Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematical modelling or a related field
• Solid understanding of master data management concepts and data modelling practices

It’s a plus if you also have:

• Experience with one or more cloud providers (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Knowledge of ETL/ data processing platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake
• Experience with Apache Spark (batch and streaming)
