Operating in a fast‑paced, operational environment, the company provides cross‑border transport and logistics solutions for industrial and retail customers across Poland, Western Europe, and Switzerland.
Job Description
Reporting directly to local and group management, the successful candidate will be fully responsible for accounting, finance, payroll, and office administration , acting as a trusted business partner to the leadership team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full responsibility for statutory accounting in compliance with Polish regulations (CIT, VAT, payroll)
- Preparation of monthly, interim, and annual financial statements
- Timely preparation and submission of tax declarations and statutory reports
- Oversight of cash flow, bank relations, FX settlements, and payment processing
- Management of accounts receivable and payable , including partner reconciliations
- Preparation of payroll, bonuses, benefits, and employee settlements
- Cooperation with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions
- Maintenance of fixed assets register and accounting documentation
- Supervision of HR administration , including employee records, leave, training, and business travel
- Handling of office management, contracts, insurance, and fleet administration
- Operational support through Transport Management System (TMS) activities where required
- Acting as a central point of contact for finance and administration‑related matters
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate will combine strong technical accounting expertise with a hands‑on, pragmatic approach suited to an international SME environment.
Key requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics , or similar
- 8+ years of experience in accounting, including senior responsibility (Chief Accountant / Lead Accountant)
- Excellent knowledge of Polish accounting law and tax regulations
- Experience in logistics, transport, or operationally complex businesses is highly desirable
- Proven ability to manage finance, payroll, and administration end‑to‑end
- High level of independence, accuracy, and reliability
- Comfortable working in a lean structure with broad responsibility
- Polish (native) and English (working proficiency) required; French or German is an advantage
- Strong systems aptitude (ERP/accounting tools; TMS experience a plus)
