Senior Risk Analyst (Market Risk) with German

We are currently seeking a Senior Risk Analyst-Market Risk for our client, the largest independent investment management company in Europe. They are a market leader in Master-KVG services and private label funds.

In this role, you will collaborate across borders with other companies and branches of the Group, using both German and English languages. Your responsibilities will include project tasks within the department’s annual strategic provisions and support for strategically important initiatives from a business unit and branch perspective.

Additionally, your key responsibilities will be:

• Computing and verifying risk analytics for market risk on a daily basis (including value at risk, backtesting, stress testing, and simulation analysis)
• Performing decomposition, modeling, and integration of derivative securities and structured instruments into the daily process of market risk measurement
• Conducting pre-trade eligibility checks of new assets based on valid legal and technical requirements for risk management of investment funds
• Addressing ad-hoc inquiries and performing risk analysis related to client reporting requests
• Assessing the necessity and applicability of qualified approaches for market risk measurement when launching new investment funds or converting existing portfolios (concept checks)

The ideal candidate should have:

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Economics, Business Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related subject
• At least 2 years of experience in measuring market risk and validating risk figures for multi-asset investment funds or other types of multi-asset portfolios
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., VBA, SQL, R, Matlab, Python)
• Fluent spoken and written English and at least a B2 level in German
