About the project, Unleash the power of data visualization — revolutionize reporting through innovative chart customization!, , Warszawa-based opportunity with hybrid work model (up to 3 remote days per week)., , As a Senior Reporting & Chart Developer, you will be working for our client, an industry leader in financial reporting. Your expertise will be pivotal in supporting the migration of legacy reports to a new Java + JasperReports-based solution, focusing on advanced chart rendering, customization, and technical evaluation. Join a project dedicated to transforming complex financial data into clear, customizable visual reports that drive strategic decisions., , Only candidates with an existing legal right to work in Europe will be considered.

Your responsibilities, Analyze existing charts and assess their feasibility for migration to JasperReports., Identify which visualizations can be implemented standardly versus requiring custom code or alternative approaches., Design and support the implementation of customizations, including annotations, markers, label placement, axis formatting, and legend modifications., Evaluate technical challenges and provide solutions for advanced visualization needs, including embedded charts in PDFs and reports., Collaborate closely with report designers, internal teams, and Java developers to ensure seamless integration., Support spike efforts for complex charts and estimate work effort for non-standard visualizations., Advise on technical approaches and potential workarounds when standard Jasper features are insufficient.

At least 3 years of Java experience with a strong focus on custom chart rendering., Hands-on experience with JFreeChart or similar Java-based chart/rendering stacks., Proven expertise with custom chart annotations, markers, axis/legend customization, and rendering logic., Experience embedding charts into PDFs, reports, or documents., Technical ability to evaluate chart feasibility—distinguishing between standard and custom solutions—and estimate effort accordingly., Fluent in Polish and English.

Optional, Experience with JasperReports chart customization., Knowledge of financial or performance charts in reporting contexts., Familiarity with Java2D / Graphics2D, SVG / vector graphics, or enterprise reporting tools.
