Your responsibilities

• Manage the foundation design process, including monopiles / transition pieces, during FEED and detailed design phases.
• Oversee the design consultant and ensure the quality of design deliverables.
• Manage design interfaces with other project packages, including WTG, T&I, O&M and cables.
• Work closely with the Certification Body to ensure compliance with certification requirements.
• Cooperate with Tier 1 contractors to secure the necessary documentation and permits required for the project.
• Identify and implement CAPEX and OPEX optimisation opportunities.
• Provide budget and cost-related input for project purposes.
• Manage technical risks and support project decision-making processes.
• Support procurement processes, including RFQ/RFP preparation and technical evaluation of offers.
• Oversee the full foundation design lifecycle — from concept through to installation.
• Ensure project delivery in line with schedule, budget and technical requirements.
• Ensure that design documentation is prepared to a level acceptable for certification.
• Identify and implement design optimisations for turbine foundations using a holistic project approach.
• Report technical issues to the project team, including identification of risks and opportunities, and development of mitigation measures.
• Work closely with planning and interface management teams within EPCI and PMO.
• Control expenditure against the approved project budget in cooperation with the Cost Controller.

Our requirements

• Degree in engineering, preferably in civil engineering, structural engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in offshore wind, particularly in foundation design.
• Experience as a Design Manager or Foundation Engineer in at least one offshore wind farm project, covering detailed design, manufacturing and installation phases of foundations.
• Experience in managing a project or an engineering team.
• Ability to work in an EPCI, FEED and multi-contract project environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
