QA Engineer - Banking (Office Presence 2-3 Days/Week)

As an Automation Test Engineer, you will join a team responsible for "Collateral Art" – a critical banking domain focused on managing, linking, and securing legal documentation with underlying assets to optimize the Bank's default recovery capabilities.

In this role, you will take full ownership of comprehensive test automation initiatives within a fast-paced Continuous Delivery ecosystem.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Framework Development: Enhancing testing capabilities by implementing Selenium libraries as extensions to the Java Framework, utilizing patterns like the Page Object Model (POM).
• CI/CD Integration: Building, managing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines tailored specifically for test libraries and automation frameworks.
• Process Automation: Designing robust, scalable, and maintainable automated testing solutions to seamlessly integrate with development workflows.
• Data & Defect Management: Handling test data preparation for complex scenarios, analyzing test execution results, and managing defect reporting to ensure top-tier software quality.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partnering closely with Development, DevOps, and Product Management teams to drive continuous delivery.
• Optimization: Actively identifying bottlenecks and implementing innovative solutions.

Technical Requirements:

• Automation & Testing: 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Java-based testing frameworks (or similar) and a solid understanding of REST API testing.
• Programming & Databases: At least 3 years of practical experience in Java (with Maven or similar build tools) and writing SQL queries across various database systems.
• Tools & CI/CD: Proven experience with Jenkins or Bamboo, Git, Bitbucket, and Jira.
• Systems Analysis: Strong ability to analyze complex, large-scale systems and effectively identify quality risks.

Soft Skills & Mindset:

• Fluency in English with excellent communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a collaborative, team‑oriented approach to Agile workflows.
• Readiness to take full ownership of quality outcomes and tackle complex technical challenges.

Nice-to-have (Bonus points):

• Experience with DevOps practices (Docker, containerization) and the Atlassian Suite (Confluence).
• Background in automated functional and non-functional testing within large-scale data infrastructures.
• Previous experience in the financial services/banking sector.
• ISTQB Foundation Certification.
