Sourcing Operations Manager

Sourcing Operations Manager – UPM Business Hub, Wrocław, Poland.

What you will do

• Lead and support the Operational Sourcing team, setting clear priorities and ways of working.
• Oversee end‑to‑end operational sourcing activities, including RFx processes, supplier selection support, negotiations, and contract management.
• Ensure consistent delivery of high‑quality sourcing outcomes for goods and services.
• Manage operational performance, including workload planning, prioritisation, and service levels.
• Use data and insights to identify improvements and support decision‑making.
• Contribute to the development of the Sourcing Factory model and the onboarding of new digital workflow management capabilities, leveraging familiarity with AI‑driven automation solutions while acting as a generalist who bridges sourcing operations, technology, and business functions to drive integration, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with business and category teams to translate needs into sourcing actions.
• Support process improvements, standardisation, and the use of digital tools.

Who you are

• You have experience in sourcing or procurement, ideally in indirect categories, including RFx processes and negotiations.
• You have experience supporting or leading a team and helping others develop.
• You are comfortable working in a structured, process‑driven environment and managing multiple priorities.
• You use data to support decisions and understand different drivers of value, such as cost, quality, and risk.
• You are interested in improving ways of working and contributing to operational excellence.
• You collaborate effectively with stakeholders and build strong working relationships.
• You have experience with digital sourcing tools (e.g. SAP Ariba) – a plus.
• You are fluent in English.
