About the project

As a Senior Integration Engineer – Azure & AI Delivery, you will be working for our client within a data engineering and integration delivery environment. You’ll take direct ownership of integration delivery, combining deep Azure integration expertise with an embedded AI-assisted development practice to extend reusable patterns, accelerate adapter delivery, and bring workstreams from requirement to production with minimal oversight.

Own the integration future—build Azure adapters at factory speed, powered by embedded AI delivery.

Location & work model Remote (EU), up to 5 days/week remote.

Only candidates with an existing legal right to work in the European Union will be considered for this role.

Your responsibilities

• Build and extend reusable integration system wrappers in Python across the technology estate.
• Drive AI-assisted integration development as the default mode—scaffolding Function Apps, generating Logic Apps workflows, drafting API Management policies, producing IaC, writing test cases, and automating documentation.
• Contribute to the integration “factory” pattern library by standardizing error handling, retry logic, logging, and payload structures.
• Develop and integrate adapter delivery using CI/CD—automated test execution, linting, and deployment gates aligned to delivery quality.
• Design and implement Azure integration solutions using Azure Function Apps (Python) as the primary execution pattern.
• Build and maintain Logic Apps Standard workflows, including WDL authoring, scope actions, error handling, and retry patterns.
• Configure Azure API Management (inbound/outbound policies, managed identity auth, versioning, throttling), leveraging AI to draft, validate, and document policies.
• Work with Azure Service Bus for event-driven and asynchronous messaging patterns, ensuring clean ingress/egress integration with downstream consumption.

Our requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on integration engineering experience (proven through role history).
• Deep practical experience with Azure Function Apps, Logic Apps Standard, Service Bus, and Azure API Management (hands-on configuration and workflow/policy creation).
• Strong Python development skills with production-quality code, proper error handling, logging, and test coverage (pytest-based).
• Demonstrable experience building or contributing to an integration factory (reusable adapter patterns, scaffolding, CI/CD automation).
• Active, proven experience using AI-assisted development in delivery (embedded in your workflow: code scaffolding, pattern generation, IaC templating, and documentation automation).
• The ability to own workstreams end-to-end and drive delivery pace and quality with minimal oversight.
• Strong communication skills—able to collaborate across technical and business stakeholders and raise blockers early.

Optional

• Experience writing system wrapper libraries (encapsulating authentication, API interaction, and error handling for third-party platforms).
• Snowflake experience (querying, schema patterns, and structuring integration payloads for downstream consumption).
• Exposure to fund administration or broader financial services environments.
