For which tasks (responsibilities)?

We are looking for 3D animators, Riggers and Lead 3D animator for a Humanoid character animation in photorealism

Technical Requirements

  • Engine: Unreal Engine

  • Software: Blender

  • Animation Type: Keyframe Animation

  • Production Scope: Rigging - Skinning - Animation

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience

  • Strong Blender portfolio with gameplay animations

  • Experience with realistic humanoid rig and animation

  • Hand-crafted keyframe animation

  • Availability: 6+ hours/day

What kind of professional are we looking for?

Animators

  • Realistic body and facial animation for humanoid characters

  • Combat and locomotion animations for a Common Melee Enemy using an existing Blender rig

  • Animation loops (walk, sprint, strafe) and attack phases (anticipation / active / recovery) 

  • Non-athletic, unsettling and “painful” movement style: limping, twitchy motion patterns, convulsive movement

  • Portfolio should include gameplay animations (combat, locomotion, hit reactions)

  • Experience with zombies, infected, psychotic characters, limping or twitchy movement styles is a plus

Riggers

Character rigging and skinning in Blender

  • Game-ready body and facial rig for a humanoid character in Blender for manual key-frame animation.

  • Strong Blender expertise (Rigify experience preferred)

  • Experience with facial rigs for expressions (e.g. snarl, scream, eye squinting), jaw, and eye controls 

Rigging can be handled either by:

  • the animator continuing into animation production,

  • or a dedicated rigging artist

Lead Artist :

Reviewing test tasks, providing feedback, resource evaluation and estimation, quality control

We will pay special attention to:

  • realistic humanoid character animation in Blender,

  • gameplay body and facial animation,

  • melee locomotion and combat animation,

  • realistic movement and sense of weight,

  • expressive motion and physical believability.
