Your responsibilities

Establish and oversee the full accounting function of the Polish entity as Chief Accountant (m/f/x).
Ensure compliance with the Polish Accounting Act, tax regulations, and internal group financial policies.
Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, including general ledger, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and cost accounting.
Prepare, review, and approve statutory financial statements as well as monthly and annual closing processes.
Maintain accurate tax records and ensure the correct and timely preparation of CIT, VAT, PIT, and other statutory declarations.
Develop, maintain, and improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and documentation flow.
Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Ensure timely payments and support cash‑flow monitoring from an accounting perspective.
Cooperate with external and internal auditors, tax authorities, banks, and other institutions.
Support budgeting, cost monitoring, and financial analyses in collaboration with the Finance team.
Provide clear reporting and accounting insights to management and Group Finance.

Our requirements

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, supported by solid practical knowledge of Polish accounting and tax regulations.
Several years of professional experience in accounting, including independent responsibility for statutory books; experience in the manufacturing sector will be a strong advantage.
Practical expertise in Polish GAAP and tax settlements (VAT, CIT, PIT), with the ability to apply changing regulations in daily operations.
Hands-on experience with month‑end and year‑end closing, preparing statutory financial statements, and cooperating with auditors.
Very good command of English, enabling effective communication within an international organization.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or similar) and strong Excel skills.
Ability to build, guide, and supervise an accounting team, paired with strong organizational skills and a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset.
Experience in internal controls and process improvements will be considered an asset.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Chief Accountant (m/f/x) to establish, lead, and oversee the accounting function of our new onshore production facility in Legnica.

This role will play a key part in creating and managing the accounting structure for the Polish entity, ensuring compliance with local regulations, accuracy of financial records, and timely reporting to local and global stakeholders.

You will be responsible for organizing accounting policies, implementing procedures, supervising the accounting team, and acting as the main point of contact for auditors, authorities, and the Group Finance department.
